...je s 1611 m najvišji slovenski cestni prelaz, ki se nahaja v vzhodnih Julijskih Alpah, s katerega vodi pot proti Gorenjski ter na drugi strani proti Trenti. Povezuje soško ter na drugi strani savsko dolino.
Prevozen je v pomladanskih, poletnih in jesenskih mesecih, v zimskem času pa je zaradi snega in nevarnosti plazov večinoma zaprt...

VRŠIČ PASS (1611 m)
...is the highest Slovenian mountain pass situated in the Eastern Julian Alps. From Vršič path leads towards Gorenjska on one side and towards Trenta on the other. It is connecting Soča Valley with Sava Valley.
Pass is available for traffic in the spring, summer and autumn months, in the winter, due to snow and avalanche danger, it is mostly closed...
